Inspiration Walk Creativity

Dalry Colonies…a quiet oasis in the City… old stone built properties.. history in every stone…trees.. and trailing honeysuckle… surprise sunflowers reaching above the garden wall to greet passing people with their bright yellow sunshine faces. Loraine Haugh

EDINBURGH

This is the city

I live in,

quite impressive

don’t you think?

To say I’ve

roamed around

plenty,

this town

comes out

fairly healthy.

By the sea

and hilly,

it always keeps

me rambling,

round and round

this lovely city.

LOVELY DAY

A lovely day

sunny and warm,

followed by cool breezes.

What’s not to love,

walking around Edinburgh

with fabulous people.

So much

to observe and enjoy.

Just slow down,

be in the moment.

We are here for now

and then our souls will fly.

Sitting by the Garden @ Snake writing love letters to the place
You’d like this place,
you always did like signs of regeneration, sensitive development.
The views are good: the hill, the stadium, transport links,
signs of Edinburgh adapting to future needs.
You’d probably have known about it before me;
you were always good at finding unusual routes.
Not always successful, I’d like to remind you - getting lost, scratched, soaked,
back much later than expected.
You’d have had your grumbles too - graffiti, some of the design,
you’d have thought you knew better!

Thank you to all the participants, some pictured here, for your creativity.

We finished off together with refreshments on the Lochrin Belle canal boat.

And thank you to Sandy for guiding us. As one participant said “I was pleasantly surprised how good it was to write spontaneously on a walk.”

We can read more of Sandy’s work on her instagram that links to creative projects and the website.   @sandybennetthaber
