Wildflower Action Day

Saturday 28th Feb 2026

1pm -3pm

Harrison Park West (dog free area)

Come and sow wildflower seeds in the park

Bring flower/herb seeds from home to sow or share

Herbal tea tasting at herb bed, bring a cup

Tend wildflower and herb beds, litter picking/ weeding/ sowing

All equipment provided, bring gloves/ hand tools if you have them.

Under 16s accompanied by an adult

Dress for our weather

Free of charge, donations welcome

Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust www.fcct.scot are a member led organisation making our local area a better place to live, work, do business and visit.  The Canalside Greenspace Group is one of our weekly projects, helping to explore and improve our local public greenspaces, group members will be on hand to guide you as you discover and share more about our local greenspaces.

FAQs

Are there toilets at the event? Sorry, there are no toilets in our local park.  If you are not near home you may wish to visit one of our local cafes as a customer and use the customer toilets.

Can I bring my dog? Well behaved dogs on leads can attend the parts of the event that are outwith the dog free area of the park. Our gazebo and herb tea tasting will be in the dog free area.
