Inspiration Walk (Wed 27 May)

Get your legs and your creativity moving on a morning walk with local resident and writer Sandy Bennett-Haber. Sandy will lead the group through site specific writing prompts aimed to get your creativity flowing while we explore the local area. 

No previous writing experience necessary. 

Meet at Polwarth Parish Church, 36-38 Polwarth Terrace, EH11 1LU

A gentle unhurried walk 1.5 hours or so with refreshments and sharing our inspiration afterwards

Refreshments after the walk at Polwarth Church, we can be in the garden or in the hall depending on the weather.

FAQs

How long is the walk? About 3 miles on good surfaces

Where are we walking to?   We plan to walk all or part of this route depending on conditions on the day.

Are there toilets on the route? There are toilets at Polwarth Parish Church.

Do I need to bring special equipment? Dress for the weather, bring a notebook and pencil or other device for making notes, hot drinks and some snacks provided, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch to enjoy after our walk.

Can I bring my dog? Assistance dogs are welcome.  This walk is in primarily aimed at humans and many dog owners prefer to leave their dogs at home so they can concentrate on the activity and the interactions with other humans. Some group members are nervous of dogs and so a well-behaved dog on the lead could attend if they are able to respect this, please get in touch if you wish to discuss further.
