Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust is working with Keep Scotland Beautiful to create a Community Climate and Heritage Action Plan. As part of this process we are using the Place Standard tool with the Your Historic Place lens to get a better understanding of how people view and value the historic environment around Fountainbridge.
The Place Standard tool provides a simple framework to structure conversations about place. It allows you to think about the physical elements of a place such as its buildings, spaces and transport links as well as the social aspects, for example whether people feel they belong to the area and are part of the decision-making process.
We’d love to include your views through the completion of one or all of the following online surveys
(click on the buttons below to open them in a new tab)
We’re also running some discussion groups online and in person on 22, 26 and 27 February. See here for more details!
The Your Historic Place lens had been developed by Historic Environment Scotland with the Place Standard Team and is being piloted by Keep Scotland Beautiful and the Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust.
