Making our community a better place to live, work, play and visit

Community in the Park – Sat 19 April

Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust and Edinburgh Printmakers invite you to some fun community activities in Harrison on

Sat 19 April, 1-3pm

Some food and goodies and picnic blankets provided – bring some of your favourite things too!

Beginning at Harrison Park, we will leisurely walk along the towpath of the Union Canal, practising mindfulness as we observe the patterns in light and shadows, natural and manmade forms together. We will stop along the towpath by Boroughmuir high school and the Leamington Lift Bridge and engage in guided creative activities of watercolour sketches to map our observations of the changes in our green environment as spring arrives in Edinburgh. All materials will be provided, but you can also bring your own, and all creative abilities are welcome.
The walk starts at 1.30pm – please book here.

Or after your picnic, why not stay in the park and a take part in some of the free craft and greenspace activities.

This event is free thanks to support from a variety of sources: the Longstone Fund, administered by Foundation Scotland and the Scottish Government’s Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund administered by EVOC. It is also part of Castle Mills: Then & Now | 900 Stories in Print, made possible with support from City of Edinburgh Council through the Edinburgh900 celebrations.
