🌿 Canalside Greenspace Circle for Women 🌿
Come gather by the water this summer 💚
🗓 Wednesdays, 6–8pm
📍 Meet at the Waterwitch canal boat*, Fountainbridge Green (outside Boroughmuir High School, just off Viewforth)
📅 Dates: Wednesdays 25 June, 2 July, 1 week break, 16 July, 23 July 2025
Cost: FREE
Our Greenspace Circles offer a nourishing space for women to connect — with Nature, with each other, and with ourselves. Through creative reflection and gentle outdoor time, we’ll explore our relationships to health, wellbeing, our bodies, and the ecosystems we’re part of.
✨ Come as you are. Embrace the benefits of time outdoors. ✨
Each session we will spend time tuning into our bodies and discovering the green spaces along the canal. We will get to know the local ecosystems we share with multispecies communities and have opportunities to deepen our connection to plants as teachers, medicine and food. Through creative and reflective prompts, we will explore our individual and collective relationships to health, wellbeing, body and nature. Sessions will include elements and activities drawing from nature-based mindfulness, regenerative foraging, sensory herbalism, the art of noticing, embodied ecology, eco therapy and the Work That Reconnects.
RSVP: please contact ahoy@fcct.scot to confirm your attendance, or with any questions.
About our facilitator: Hannah, Community Gardener – Greenspace Group Facilitator, Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust.
About our funders: The Women’s Fund for Scotland was established in 2002.
It plays a critical role in supporting the sector by influencing change and raising and distributing funds throughout Scotland. Our funding focuses on women and girl’s needs identified by grassroots organisations that other funders simply cannot reach.
* The Waterwitch canal boat require a certain level of mobility to step onto the boat and down 3 fairly steep steps, with sturdy handrails. There is a toilet on board.
