This year Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust will hold a brief business only focussed AGM meeting online and will follow this on another date with an in-person ‘Annual Event’ where members can catch up with us and others, hear about some of our projects and learn how they can get involved.
We would like to welcome friends and members to our online Annual General Meeting on Thursday 26th September 2024, at 12.30pm. The meeting will last 30-40 minutes.
This event will be held ONLINE (joining details below at the bottom of this page). If you would like to attend and would struggle to join online, please let us know and we can make necessary arrangements so you can be included.
The meeting will first consider usual AGM business – Annual Report, Annual Accounts, Appointment of Directors – and this year we have one Special Resolution. Documents for the meeting can be viewed or downloaded using the links below, at the bottom of this page. If you would like paper copies of the documents in advance of the meeting, please contact us and we will arrange this.
The Special Resolution is to make a slight change in our constitution to allow volunteers who are actively involved in our local area, and are therefore contributors to and stakeholders in our community, to become full members of the organisation. At present these people can only be full members if they also live in the area immediately adjacent to the Union Canal (our ‘area of benefit’).
If you’d like to confirm your attendance, please RSVP here! (This is not necessary to attend – but will mean you will receive a reminder email and the joining details direct to your inbox).
If you are not yet a Member – sign up here!
(scroll down below the list of activities)
If you are unable to attend, and would like to give your vote by proxy to either another FCCT Member or the Chairperson, please inform us in writing at least 48hrs in advance of the meeting. You can use the RSVP form to give your vote by proxy.
If you would like to nominate someone to become a Director, please FILL IN THIS FORM (by Tues 24 Sept). We have prepared a document for potential Directors about what responsibilities and commitment is involved. You can also arrange to have an informal chat with us too.
We are also planning an in-person ‘Annual Event’ where members can catch up with us and others. This event will be held from 4-6pm on Thurs 10th October at the Edinburgh Printmakers and you will be able to learn about several heritage projects taking place in our local area. You can sign up to get more details by using the AGM and Annual Meeting RSVP form.
