Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust www.fcct.scot are a member led organisation making our local area a better place to live, work, do business and visit.  The Canalside Greenspace Group is one of our weekly projects, helping to explore and improve our local public greenspaces, group members will be on hand to guide you as you discover and share more about our local greenspaces.

About our Facilitators 

Graeme Wilson Ecologist

Locally Graeme is well known for leading the ever popular bat walks in Harrison Park, he is a wildlife educator and an ecologist, with a specialism in mammals, with 25 plus years experience in local authority, voluntary and private sectors. https://www.gwecology.com

Hope and her team lead Fountainbridge library’s regular Crafternoons these take place weekly from 3-4pm at Fountainbridge Library free of charge. On 10th May if the weather is fine they hope to be doing animal themed crafts on Fountainbridge Green, or if it is breezy in the library which is a very short walk away.

Canalside Greenspace Group have been working since 2023 to explore and improve our public green spaces around the canalside. Recently they have been boosting biodiversity in Fountainbridge Green with the addition of new trees, a hedge, a dead hedge and wildflower patches. They meet weekly on a Tuesday 10-12, more info here
